OB307W1 is a master alloy for 375-585‰ (9-14 Kt) white gold jewelry, designed for lost-wax casting in closed and open systems.
The color of 585‰ gold made using OB307W1 shows a standard color grade (Yellow index: 20.3).
In title 375‰ the alloy has a premium white color grade (Yellow index: 17.8). In 585‰ title it is recommended to proceed with rhodium plating deposition on surface in order to ensure maximum whiteness on the final jewel. This operation is not necessary in title 375‰.
The hardness of 585‰ gold alloyed with OB307W1 can be moderately increased by means of a heat treatment.
OB307W1 has a high level of deoxidizers, this makes it suitable for casting in closed and open systems. During melting it is clean from dirt and leaves minimum residue in the crucible.
OB307W1 offers good fluidity in casting, the as-cast tree is clean from oxyde scales, it has high shininess and lustruous color after finishing.
